Here are 6 family Christmas activities which are all a little bit magical! Create some wonderful memories for the years ahead by starting a few new traditions each year together.
1. Host a home decorating party
Get the whole family involved in decorating the tree and other Christmas ornaments by scheduling a time to do it. Serve hot chocolate, play Christmas music and play around with some fake-snow on your windows! Your kids will have heaps of fun, and as the parents engage in the excitement, it will make everything merrier.

2. Host a musical Christmas evening
Sit by the tree and sing Christmas carols – this will be extra-memorable if you do it each year as your toddlers slowly learnt the lyrics to their favorite Christmas tunes.

They will form some positive associations around the Christmas period because of all the fun times they are having at home. Serve holiday cookies and leave some out (with a glass of milk) for Santa.
3. Send out Homemade Holiday cards
We are living in an age where we forget to actually communicate with people in real life because we always use social media as our linking platform. Why not go vintage and actually send out Christmas cards for a change? Have your little ones get creative and draw festive scenes, scan and print on card stock for handmade Christmas greetings. This will give them a chance to do some arts and crafts for their family and friends! Let them stick on the post-stickers and mail them in the local letterbox or post office!

4. Organize a Candy Cane Hunt!
Why not invite some of friends who have children and organize a fun, Christmas-themed play date? Just like the traditional Easter egg hunt, a Candy cane hunt can serve the same, exciting purpose. Hide them below pillows and in-between toy trucks – your kids (and their friends) will be super excited.
5. Find Christmas-themed events to attend together as a family
Finding events that have beautiful flashy lights, sleighs, reindeers, Santa Claus, helper elves, and anything else in the theme of Christmas will be extremely memorable for your little one. Try to find nice community events, such as Christmas concerts, Carols nights, or watching the Nativity Scene play. Even if it means going street-viewing to have a look at neighborhood houses that have
set up their homes for a pleasant Christmas display, this will surely add a magical touch to any family night-out – you can even Wrap up a plate of holiday baked goods to give to the owners of the house voted by your family as the most ‘Christmasy’! Your children will count down to these outings because of the excitement that they stir. We all know that the live holiday music performances or the holiday-themed magic shows are more memorable than the toys found under the tree.
